General updates/additions to Myeloma and Amyloidosis, plus upcoming for AML, ALL and MPN’s
Sadly Twitter no longer has the strong haematology FOAMed power it used to, thanks Elon… And checking it every day is doing me no good. So goodbye Twitter but I will continue to update Haembase just the same as ever.
You can still contact me at haembase@gmail.com. Or tip me at https://ko-fi.com/haembase.
Personally satisfying for me to see that Haembase keeps growing, with site visits up again last year. Thank you to everyone who uses the site and I hope it continues to be useful!
I have removed the banner tab for Trials. It was a mish mash of a list and not kept up-to-date. But all the notes from these sections can now be found at the bottom of their individual subject pages.
The main changes to the WHO classifications of haematological malignancy (WHO-HAEM5) have been published ahead of publication of the ‘Blue Book’ later this year. This is going to cause discrepancies throughout the site as I gradually update nomenclature and WHO tables. It could take some time!
Meanwhile, here are links to the WHO-HAEM5 articles:
And a few highlights to whet your appetite:
B-PLL is out and in the bin. Cases under that diagnosis are now redistributed based on their other features.
Atypical CML is now MDS/MPN with neutrophila
Find Haembase this useful? You can now tip me on Kofi! Haembase will always be free to access for all but if you would like to support my running costs, and time, this is the place to do it. Thank you!
Thank you all you lovely people for your generous donations! You covered the website runing costs and beat last years donation to Blood Cancer UK - £205 this time!
I will keep working on keep the site updated over the next year :)
Haembase is, and always will be, free to use but if you have found the site useful and have a few ££ spare to help me paying the website hosting fees I would be most grateful. Even better, any surplus will go to Blood Cancer UK!
Thank you to everyone who has visited the site or recommended it to a friend over the last two years, it has been so satisfying to see the visits climb! Recent updates include the addition of a page on viscoelastic testing and the number of MCQ questions passing 50!
Thank you to everyone who donated to my fundraiser, you have helped me pay the website admin fees and raised £55 for Blood Cancer UK. Cheers! Tom
