Vaccine-Induced Thrombosis and Thrombocytopenia (VITT) (NICE 2021) (BSH 2021)

Intro

VITT is a new syndrome recently identified following the introduction of the ChAdOx1 nCov-19 vaccine. Reported cases to date typically occur 5-28 days after vaccination and patients present with new arterial or venous thrombosis and concurrent thrombocytopenia.
