Haembase continues but no more @tomboxaneA2
Sadly Twitter no longer has the strong haematology FOAMed power it used to, thanks Elon… And checking it every day is doing me no good. So goodbye Twitter but I will continue to update Haembase just the same as ever.
You can still contact me at haembase@gmail.com. Or tip me at https://ko-fi.com/haembase.
Happy New Year!
Personally satisfying for me to see that Haembase keeps growing, with site visits up again last year. Thank you to everyone who uses the site and I hope it continues to be useful!
'Trials' Section retired
I have removed the banner tab for Trials. It was a mish mash of a list and not kept up-to-date. But all the notes from these sections can now be found at the bottom of their individual subject pages.
WHO-HAEM5
The main changes to the WHO classifications of haematological malignancy (WHO-HAEM5) have been published ahead of publication of the ‘Blue Book’ later this year. This is going to cause discrepancies throughout the site as I gradually update nomenclature and WHO tables. It could take some time!
Meanwhile, here are links to the WHO-HAEM5 articles:
And a few highlights to whet your appetite:
B-PLL is out and in the bin. Cases under that diagnosis are now redistributed based on their other features.
Atypical CML is now MDS/MPN with neutrophila
